Finally picked this one after seeing so much hype. Did it live to the hype? kind of.
The angst was good but not the best. The chemistry was good . Them falling in love so quickly after not seeing each other for 8 years was unrealistic.
Anyway i like how Dom was down bad for her. The yearning was the best.
Overall, good as a palate cleanser and can be read in one sitting.

It was raw and vulnerable, and the author clearly intended it to be. At times, it felt too personal and read like I was invading her personal diary. The way it was written made it very simple to read, despite the heavy subject matter.
The connection with food and how it intertwined with her culture, shaping her grief and soothing her, was palpable.
It feels weird to rate such a personal book. Still, in terms of its narration and writing style, I loved it.
( Cried a lot reading it and so if anyone's planning, grab a tissue box)
