“Of all the animals I could’ve gotten matched with, I got this one. He—and uh, dude’s definitely a boy—is much prouder and scarier than the familiar I imagined for myself. To be honest, I was thinking I was more of a chinchilla girl.”
LMAO!!

There once was a girl, clever and good, who tarried in shadow in the depths of the wood. There also was a King, a shepherd by his crook, who reigned over magic and wrote the old book.
The two were together. So the two were the same.
The girl. The King. And the monster they became.
Honestly, I did not expect it to tug my heartstrings💔💔💔

A collection of the pilot books for popular series, for those of us who love to follow a character's journey for as long as an author will let us! Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.

An introduction to the Romantasy genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

Okay, now that I’ve finished the book, I don’t know what to do. I’ll miss the Shepard king. I was actually so sad when I finished, I feel like a part of me is now missing :(

I’m going into this book blind, and it is the funniest book Elsie Silver has written. I love West already.

I absolutely loved this book—this duology! I enjoyed Elm and Rayvn’s POV VERY MUCH. I loved the development of the story and everyone’s character development. I think this book touched on heavier topics than book 1, which was written so well. Overall, the magic systems, plot(s), and characters were so fun to read about. I’d read it again!!
This series has a special place in my heart, especially the Shepard King.

When he caught Ione tracing the bare skin along his back, he smiled. “Sorry.” He nodded at his discarded clothes. “I should have asked if you wanted to help with that.”
