I know there's a consensus that books are generally always better than their movies. I agree with this consensus. I've had Aristotle and Dante on hold for forever and have just kept pushing it back to read other things. Tonight I'm in a movie watching mood and came across the movie for this book. I'm conflicted on whether or not if I do watch the movie first if I'll still be able to read and enjoy the book. The only time I can think of a positive experience of this for me personally is when I watched Room before reading it, I still loved and even have re-read it.
So. For those who have read the book and watched the movie or maybe even just did one or the other, do you think I should wait and read the book first? Will watching the movie be enough and I won't even need to read the book? Is the movie even good at all? Will it not matter?
