there’s really not much to say other than this was exactly what I needed to get out of a reading slump. I devoured this book (in audio book form) over a 24 hour period. Johanna van Veen’s writing style is like crack to me, beautifully grotesque and atmospheric. reading her books in audio book form feel like watching a movie in my head it’s so visceral and vivid.
I cannot wait to purchase this book for my growing library-in-progress
