I fell in love with this book from the first chapter and read all of it in almost one sitting. Oaklind is a really compelling character from the start. The book is kind and gentle while blending in the heavier plot and character aspects.

I saw the movie twice in theaters and it inspired me to read the book. I adored every part of the characters and the story. I laughed and cried with Rocky and Grace and I cannot overstate the love I have for these characters.

I love Six of Crows and was hoping to love this one. I suppose I enjoyed it enough to read the whole series, but I typically found the main character to be irritiating and uninteresting. I didn’t care for her love interests either. I do think the general setting and worldbuilding was fascinating as well as the premise of the story, the characters just fell flat for me.
