I simply love Dolly. She's articulate, funny, and sassy. Her role as an agony aunt is so refreshingly honest, usually with no simple answers to complex questions. Her advice is always multifaceted and thoughtful, with a lot of empathy. Like wise words from a good friend💕 ✨

Post from the The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath forum
Apart from the fact that some thoughts are not right (given the time she lived in) I am absolutely infatuated with her way of expressing herself. Her words flow like a river: careless, without pauses, captivating and as a reader you have to fight for your next breath. Her imagery is incredibly vivid, paired with modern feminist traits and the doubts and fears of every young woman. She was a born poet but at the same time a girl who just needed a hug... and you definitely have to savor the excerpts from the diary in small bites and let her thoughts melt in your mouth to understand what you have just read. I feel very satisfied in literary terms 😌☕️💆♀️

this book is a rollercoaster of emotions. 70% of the time I'm laughing my ass off, 20% wtf is going on and the other 10% I'm giggling because of Jack. And the references to famous movies/series? Iconic 💅 but I'm still not sure what to think about the increased jokes and the exaggerated statements from the characters. Everyone somehow has this crazy sense of humor and everyone says exactly what they think? It's really funny but sometimes a bit too much because it's coming from everyone. Well, I'm definitely curious to see how it ends...🔬❣️
