i love this duology so much!! 🥹 "At least this time, when I touch the mirror and fall into the space between worlds, I’m not running away or rushing to anyone’s rescue. I’m not looking for a new once upon a time or hoping, secretly and shamefully, for my happily ever after. This time I’m just trying to live. Happily."

I enjoyed this, it's not the best book ever, but certainly not a bad one. It explains so much about Celaena and who she is, what she went through and the reason she is acting the way she is in 1st and 2nd book in the series and honestly it made me love her even more. I understang why some people don't like her, cause she tends to be hard to handle but I have a soft spot for characters with tragic past lol. Anyway, nice prequel to the story, it adds to the plot, it's not some unnecessary money grab and I really appreciate that!! P.S. Sarah when I catch you!!! 🪻🧼

It was interesting, okay plot setting for the first fantasy book. I do, however, feel like nothing major happened, they spent 250+ pages trying to get Tabby home and apart from the book about the Gods that Tabby read, nothing really exciting happened. I don't really care about the romance, it's happening too quickly for my taste, they barely know each other but they're acting like they've known each other for years. "No one understands me like you do." (yeah totally original and never used before 🤣) As I said, I think it was okay for a graphic novel where not many things can happen in so many pages. I will continue the series, but I'm hoping for a begtter world building!

It just wasn't for me, I might come back to it (probably not). And btw it has nothing to do with me reading about ice and snow in august, I just wasn't feeling any of the plot and characters. I still am interested in what happened in 1st chapter cause I started reading it only because of those first two lines but I just realized I don't care about anything in between 🤷🏽♀️, so MAYBE I will continue it sometime in the future or I will just spoil it to myself (2nd option is more likely to happen)

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.
