I have a bad habit of only reading standalone books. I remember that I used to love reading long series and following the characters through multiple stories and really developing a relationship between myself and the characters. Does anyone have recommendations for series that will grab me and make me fall in love with them? Seriously the last series I remember reading is Harry Potter and there's nooooo waaaaay I'm ever going back to that one.

Y’all…. I’m so serious..
Does anyone have any book recommendations that fall into the historical fiction category? Some fantasy elements would be fine, but preferably not like high fantasy magic systems and dragons and stuff like that. I’ve been SUPER into weird girl medieval fiction lately. I need books set in the past that feel like you’re reading something secret and precious and thrilling! I love a macabre/dark academia vibe, and prefer not to read historical fiction stories about war or politics. (I know I could look at lists to find books like this, but I like hearing people’s reasons for why they enjoyed something when I look for recommendations.)
For instance I have recently read Hamnet, The Starving Saints, Piranesi (which doesn’t really fall into the historical category but felt like it at first?) and I have devoured and enjoyed all of Madeline Miller’s works. Same with Hungerstone, Lapvona, and What Moves the Dead.
Please help cure me of my big ass slump 🙌

trying to get into audiobooks- where does everyone get their audiobooks for free? (I do have a Spotify subscription but I've had to request access which is taking an age)

Sometimes you're reading a book or you're watching a movie and they name-drop israel and you're like oh! and so you google the author/director/whatever and you find out they're a well known zionist! so there's that ... thankfully I bought this secondhand so no money got to her, but it kinda ruined it for me, will keep reading it but yknow... definitely not buying any of her other books though for sure
