I am on the third now, but at this stage I think the first in Manhattan is my favorite so far.

I was recommended this by a friend who recommends some pretty intense books. He was quite disturbed from it so I was expecting to feel downright nauseous reading this. It wasn't as shocking as I thought it would be. I guess my expectations were too high. The ending was kind of comical to me. Not that it was hilarious, but more that I shouldn't have expected better from the MC.

I found it incredibly boring and cliche.

I didn't know a book could mess with my head so much I couldn't tell reality from fiction. I read this when I was young so maybe it doesn't hold up but it definitely introduced me to whatever this concept is called. I've been chasing the feeling ever since.

I watched the musical in high school. I picked up the book after watching the movie. It was so cathartic to read this in a time I felt alone speaking up about Palestine. It brought me a lot of comfort. I felt seen.
