I've just started The Dog of the North by Elizabeth McKenzie And already, in chapter one, we've had someone destroying a gas station bathroom (and the lives of the people who had to work that day), followed by intense descriptions of having to sleep far too close to the man who turned the aforementioned gas station bathroom into a broiling sewer.
