Childhood faves that stood the test of time
I was recently rereading a book I loved when I was 13 expecting it to be terrible and simple, and I found that I actually still liked it so I decided to make this list!! Recommendations are welcome, this will be a running list xx

Was about to excitedly comment the rainbow fairy books i forget the series name but then i remembered they probably done hold up as well now that we’re adults 😔 would reread tho

ugh i know, to be fair I reread one recently when I was subbing for a class's indoor playtime and it's as fun as I remember it being. Yeah definitely for little kids, but still cute and full of whimsy!!
This is so lovely and nostalgic 🥰💌🧸 i need to reread but from my memory The Roman Mysteries were really diverse, esp for when they were published. I loved those. And also need to reread but I loved The 13 Treasures and also Pink Chameleon (and it’s sequels). The latter acc has anticapitalist discourse which i missed as a teen!! And oooh i loved The Ingo Chronicles — my aunt acc read them bc of me and loved those. I have so many books i loved as a kid 🥰🥰🥰🥰 (the famous five was a big series for me too but unfortunately a bit racist (i havent read them for over a decade though so idr))

I will have to check these out!!! My plan is when recs come, to read at least a portion of them to get a feel for them before adding them to the list hehe :))

YES i reread it a couple months ago (i'm 25 now lol) because I remember loving it sooo much as a kid and honestly as much as it's simple writing for kids, it was still really compelling and i loved the characters!!
I LOVED all of these as a kid. Reread the Sisters Grimm several times

I haven't in a few years but will absolutely have to soon! They were so fun and really complex for kids books
Yesssss something I loved about them is that I’d forgot the big reveals in between rereads 💀 there’s a lot going on!
Just saw that The Sisters Grimm is getting a tv show !!! It looks so lovely
