A Night Remembered: Titanic Nonfiction Masterlist

Everything from the construction, sinking, survivors stories, discovery of the wreck, etc all about the R.M.S Titanic. Lovingly curated by an autistic adult who stumbled upon a Titanic book as a kid in their third grade classroom becoming a special interest topic to this day. Legitimately, I was surprised this list wasn’t already made by someone else. Especially with the lobster PB lore (a shout out to 🦞not only lobster🦞 list by leshka). Glad to be of service for all the nonfiction!

A couple of suggestions for video essays based around Titanic:

One of my favourites is the YouTube channel Oceanliner Designs by Mike Brady. If you go into his channel, you are spoiled for choice with many ship histories that exist. Full of breathtaking animations of ships and researched with a huge amount of care. If you want to experience a huge deep dive into Titanic, he has a playlist that is currently 81 videos long titled RMS Titanic.

Another favourite on YouTube is Tasting History by Max Miller. He is well known for talking about food history and he has a few videos that focus on Titanic while making recipes on menus that were on the ship. I recommend going to his playlist The Titanic & Other Disasters it is the easiest place to find them in one place.

This list is going to take me a lot of time to fill which is very exciting! There is endless amounts of material. If there is any you loves feel should be included that I haven’t gotten around to adding, let me know!

So interesting! Have you heard that Caitlin Doughty (Ask a Mortician) is currently working on a book about the Titanic? I’m hyped for when it releases.

YES! I have been anticipating this book ever since I heard she was working on it! Impatiently and respectfully waiting, know it’s gonna be good.
