That explains why I have never seen this book before. I noticed that there wasn't a list about it before, so I create it. Besides, it's a pretty common trope to mix autism or any psychological disability with botanical horror and I love it.
Now that you mention it... a good chunk of the botanical horror books I've read have had canonically autistic/ implied autistic charactersđ¤
Oh and I have a rec! You weren't meant to be human by Andrew Joseph White has an autistic and nonverbal protagonist. And it's up there in the most upsetting/disturbing horror books I've read
