I hope so too! I don't read much from poets but I'm starting to read more! I recently bought my parents poetry written in Punjabi and one of them was about grief and the simplicity of sharing chai. Bees, I cried when my mom read it to me. I'm a sucker for sad feelings. What should I read by Choi after Soft Science, if you don't mind sharing a rec?

and the newest choi poetry collection is called the world keeps ending, and the world goes on which is heavily influenced (and written during) the covid-19 pandemic and also tackles some ecological philosophies!! other chapbooks (shorter, more compact poetry collections) they've written are death by sex machine (largely consumed into soft science) and floating, brilliant, gone i also HIGHLY recommend poetry by their partner cameron awkward-rich!!!
The books I got aren't on goodreads or pagebound, so I've added the link to the shop I bought them from. I doubt they'll be translated because not much is translated from Punjabi to English. :( I also can't remember which exact book the poem is from because I bought them 6. It's either this one - ਏਦਾਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ? It can be like that? or this one - ਔਰਤਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ Women aren't machines. When I visit my parents, I'll see if I can take a picture of the poem and share it! It'll take some time, but I'll try translating it too.
I'm adding the the world keeps ending, and the world goes on to my tbr immediately!! Guess it's time to grab everything my library has by the duo and hoard them in my home! :P

I would love to translate a few of them! I've been trying to relearn how to read and write Punjabi anyway, so this will be a fun project! I learned years ago, so I'm a little slow now, but I want to read with my dad, like share a hobby with him, so I'm secretly relearning.
