I love this list 🥹 it makes me want to play dnd real soon
why do i want to read this entire list right now? A selection of amazing books 🤩🤩
I love this 🫶🏽 Listening to Amina al-Sirafi, I’ve been thinking so much about how fun it would be to play a campaign in that setting!
If you’re taking recommendations, I definitely think the Clocktaur duology by T Kingfisher has this feel, but I can totally understand if you’re not because I can see this list getting out of hand quickly.

A dnd Amina al-Sirafi campaign would go so hard! Recommendations are welcome! Clocktaur has been on my list for a while because I love the Queen T Kingfisher! I’ll add it ☺️
I would argue that Nicked by M.T. Anderson in that it resembles a D&D campaign that goes completely off the rails

ok that book sounds insane in the best possible way
It was honestly a delightful read, definitely recommend if you’re looking for historical fiction with a crazy d&d heist vibe.
Oh I love this list and am immediately adding them all to my TBR
Also I feel like Stolen Heir by Holly Black fits this! Like what do you mean you’re abandoning your plan and it’s going horribly wrong? And someone’s got a traumatizing backstory they can’t remember? That’s so D&D I haven’t read the second one though so idk if it would still make sense on the list after the events of that one!

Wait omg the traumatic backstory is so real 😫
I just took a break from reading for a game I’m DMing and saw this. Your timing was very thematic.📚⚔️
