I love this 🫶🏽 Listening to Amina al-Sirafi, I’ve been thinking so much about how fun it would be to play a campaign in that setting!

If you’re taking recommendations, I definitely think the Clocktaur duology by T Kingfisher has this feel, but I can totally understand if you’re not because I can see this list getting out of hand quickly.

A dnd Amina al-Sirafi campaign would go so hard! Recommendations are welcome! Clocktaur has been on my list for a while because I love the Queen T Kingfisher! I’ll add it ☺️

I just took a break from reading for a game I’m DMing and saw this. Your timing was very thematic.📚⚔️

I love this list 🥹 it makes me want to play dnd real soon

3

Oh I love this list and am immediately adding them all to my TBR

Also I feel like Stolen Heir by Holly Black fits this! Like what do you mean you’re abandoning your plan and it’s going horribly wrong? And someone’s got a traumatizing backstory they can’t remember? That’s so D&D I haven’t read the second one though so idk if it would still make sense on the list after the events of that one!

3

Wait omg the traumatic backstory is so real 😫

Wish that we can have 20 option here… we need more suggestions 🤩✨ great list!

Coming here to say that I love this list 😍 and recommending The Dragon Lords. Fool's Gold by Jon Hollins

3

Ooo thank you for the recommendations!!

2

I would argue that Nicked by M.T. Anderson in that it resembles a D&D campaign that goes completely off the rails

2

ok that book sounds insane in the best possible way

It was honestly a delightful read, definitely recommend if you’re looking for historical fiction with a crazy d&d heist vibe.

I’m reading Many Drops Make a Stream by Adrian Harley, and while it doesn’t have as big of a party (just two consistent members in this group, with others that pop in), the quest and hijinks feel very D&D to me! There’s even a mention of “opening a door” being the greatest challenge 😂

that description sounds incredible! onto the list it goes!
