really surprised to see In The Lake of the Woods on this list because it was such an integral part of my high school english class! so interesting, thank you for sharing these titles! :)
I had the same reaction for the same reason! I don't think it was the same year/class, but that one and The Things They Carried were part of the curriculum. (But it makes sense that geography would impact what books are easier/more difficult to get!)

The Lake of the Woods may be a location thing - I don’t live in the US and had a hard time to track it down

The hardest book to track down would be Darconvilles Cat - it has been out of print I think since the 80s and most sell on the net for $$$ - but there are some sites on the net that allows you to read it for free - wink wink - and I highly recommend it - not for everybody but an amazing read

If there are other hard to find books that are worth the read -please let me know - as I’d love to seek these out and read - would be great to keep these books alive
The only one I've read is The Waystation, but it was very good!
I'll need to check out the others. o.o
