Fantasy books where tattoos are neither mere adornments nor static marks. Each line and swirl weaves itself into the fabric of their life, unfurling their story. Characters choose their ink with care or with reckless abandon. Every symbol may stand as their shield, or just as easily become their undoing.

for a book named inkheart you'd think it would be here šš jokes aside, what a cool list! I'd like to recc Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi, a YA fantasy set in a Nigeria-inspired setting. There are big monsters the hero defeats, and they get etched into his skin. One of the coolest magic systems I've seen in a while.
added, added!!! Thank you!
if you're taking recs, Katabasis would be PERFECT for this list !
Uh ADDING IT NOW!! Let me know if you have more suggestions.
