Hello hello - Rec: the tarot sequence by KD Edwards. Iāve read the first two and consider the MC to be in a polycule ( the MC is in a hinge situation with both a solid QPR/PLP & a homosexual/demisexual relationship) - I donāt think itās a stretch & the characters def know it exists as such. Not sure itās āofficiallyā stated but polyamorous relationships and relative non-traditional relationship exist within the society / books beyond the main pairs.

What your personal preferences for polyamory in books? We all have our specific tastes and Iām wondering how much ours do or donāt align as I look for titles & reccomendations to match my own. Lmk! š
I'm pretty open to a lot of different configurations, although I don't typically like the "why choose" structure of one lady x a bunch of men (who usually aren't overly involved with each other). Those stories definitely have their place, but I don't consider them polyamorous in the sense that people looking for why choose and people looking for polyamory are usually looking for veryy different stories.
I will say, though, that I do actually love stories where it's more complicated than "they're all dating each other." Sometimes I see people act like it's not polyamory unless everyone is with everyone, which is NOT my personal experience as a polyam person myself! So whether it's a closed triad or a vee or something more complex, I'm here for it all! And I love seeing QPRS included in polyam stories too! To me, polyamory includes Soo much more than romantic and sexual relationships!
So I guess anything within that, where the main character is involved in the dynamic is game! It doesn't have to be a romance book, or have a huge focus on the romance either.
Got any specific titles where you feel you see yourself represented most as a trans person? Thatās always the hardest part for me.
I have yet to read the sequel, but I resonated with the trans character in Mistress of Lies! I don't know that there's any that I've felt super like "That's me!!" though because we all have such different experiences with gender! That's why I'm writing my own stuff too haha. Most of the books with trans rep in this list, I enjoyed the trans characters quite a bit though!

Sex-positive Asexual / Demisexuality (sex n/r, but relationship with sex explored would be a nice minimum)

Demi-romanticality (I prefer no insta-romance)

QPR/friendship with physical intimacy in the form of cuddling, hugs, comfort with nudity, and other intimate non-sexual physical touch.
I can't think of any recs that check all of the above off, but for sex positive demisexuality, I loved Just For the Cameras by Viano Oniamoh I can't remember the character's exact sexuality, but Rescued by the Married Monster Hunters by Ennis Rook Bashe might also check off a couple of these boxes (trans m lead, there's sex but iirc his relationship with sex is complicated, it's been a while since I read it though). Also, it is not released yet so I can't put it on the list but I got to read an early version of All Things Devour by Mawce Hanlin, which has a trans mmc. The two LIs are F, but one of them is on the ace spectrum!! I think it's coming out in May!
