the description made me emotional and I am not a mother 😭
same!! what a beautiful list!!
I’m wondering if a book on mothering and loss would fit? I read everything I could when I adopted my daughter, including books about the women who were largely forced to give up their babies. The book is, Message from an Unknown Chinese Mother: Stories of Loss and Love by Xinran. The author interviewed women from across China to put together this book. It’s beautiful but heart wrenching.
Thank you for this recommendation! It seems like an intimate and storyteller style that I love and I am curious to learn more about this experience of mothering, it reminded how much I have left to learn and understand about mothering (probably for the rest of my life)
Thank you 🩷 I was excited to share some this list Thai you for appreciating it and the words came up for me to even describe the impact of these books 🩷
