Not sure if there are any crafty friends here, but if so I’d love to hear of any cute book crafts you’ve done! I’d really like to make a book character Guess Who game 😂 I think my fave “craft” was making my own mini books to fit in this tiny little library my sister got me (the ones you shake to knock the books off the shelves). The books were SO small (less than an inch!), but it was so fun to make the cover spreads in Canva, cut and fold them, and then make the foam cores to go inside. I love using tweezers to put them back on the shelves (in series order, of course), and it’s nice to have “copies” of books or series I don’t own, like manga or webtoons I’ve read

What is the last book you read and your favorite quote from it? I'll go first. Potion of Deception: "I prefer the moon over the sun," he breathed into the air. "It's different but more… familiar. We can see her shape, her shadows, different phases of her life, how it changes. How she changes. How her parts disappear just to come together again. How she rewrites herself every month – her rebirth. "She lightens the way for travelers at night, which is way more than the sun does. The moon leads you through darkness." His eyes sparkled with that precise sapphire hue that was always so quick to escape. "She doesn't hide behind blinding light, letting us watch all her imperfections. And to all others, she's never trying to outshine the stars' beauty."

Do you guys know of any books where the main character/ or one of the central characters is super rich and languid, doesn’t have any basic survival skills (couldn’t feed, clothe, bathe themselves etc anything that requires physical labor without a helping hand or ten) but has the sharpest strategic mind and vast knowledge (ofc probably partly due to upbringing and class) - is kinda standoffish and vain but not coldhearted … probably just a little intimidating to approach for some And cherry on top if we can see in any scene how the character tries and fails at these everyday tasks :p Not sure if this is too specific so I don’t want to restrict further with asking for a specific genre (There’s always plus points for daddy or mommy issues)

It's a little silly, but I signed up for a ceramics wheel-throwing class for September, and I wanted to throw some books in my TBR that match the vibe. So, if anyone has recommendations for books that are about pottery (non-fiction is welcome) or ones that have characters who work with ceramics in some way, I'd really appreciate it! 💗

I'm sorry if I am just too dumb, but is there a way of marking comments or part of comments (not posts) as spoilers? I swear I've seen someone on here doing that but I can for the life of me not find out how. < spoiler > and >!Spoiler!< and ||Spoiler|| all haven't worked. If it's not a feature (yet), I must've imagined it and I will delete this ✨

Honestly I don't mind the fact that this series has gone from cutesy fantasy office romance to slowly becoming a lore heavy fantasy series. I like that! The multiple POVs don't bother me. Is it a lot of details to keep track of? yeah. But everything is pretty fast paced so far with a solid pattern of beginning mystery, day in the life of a dysfunctional family, and then sprinkles leading to part of the solution. Trystan being down bad and be embarrassed about it will never not be entertaining to read.

What are you planning to tackle in September? I've always read the first and second novels in the Beartown and The Bloodsworn Sage back to back, and now I've returned for their finales which I'll be finishing back to back in September. Two series which I've LOVED so far, so I'm both sad and excited to round them out! Some new releases I want to get to are Hemlock & Silver, What Stalks the Deep (T Kingfisher is auto-buy for me) and also The Library of Hellebore (Cassandra Khaw is amazing at grotesque writing). Lastly, I had paused The Blade Itself a few months ago as while I was liking it, I was not really vibing at the time. Well, the time has come for me to get back to it! (Fantasy rejoices) Anything else I read will be a mood read!
