All Iāve got to say is that the most unrealistic thing about the plot is that they didnāt have a big group of fangirls CONVINCED they were doing it just because they were rivals. Thereās simply no way they could have gotten away with it in the big 2010s without at least a few hundred 100k word fics about them

A bit diabolical to add a map but then only mention places not on the map in the first 50 pages š

I'm so invested in the mystery behind it all, that I actually hate that I have so much book left to read. And the fact that you can never be really sure of anything because Bel is so obviously an unreliable narrator because of her biases towards her family, is not helping at all, lol. I'm really liking this book so far!

Ok this is insubstantial but I'm confused about the way their uni works:
if Neil is majoring in foreign languages why is he taking all these unrelated courses like math or chemistry or history?
if these athletes are only concerned with the sport they're playing rather than the major they're studying in uni, can't they major in sports or something related? I know that where I live you can study sport sciences(?) so is that not a thing in the U.S.?
