An introduction to Historical Fiction, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

The last couple of chapters are so intensely descriptive in the worst possible ways. Still can't put the book down though..

I finished this book months ago and my jaw is still on the floor. This made me realize I like dark and twisted books as a new book listener (cant physically read due to horrible attention span) im still searching for a story that rivals tender is the flesh.

"The part the stories leave out," Tress said as the Sorceress's runes formed into a vibrant wall, "is everything that comes before. You see, I've discovered that it's all right to need help. So long as you've lived your life as the kind of person who deserves to be rescued."
This is my introduction to Sanderson, and was on my TBR for a long time. Pretty good little read! Are the rest of the Cosmere this same vibe? Or less whimsy? I usually like a slightly more serious read but don't mind a one or two off like this.
