This is the happiest, coziest and most lovely book. If you love this, watch Friren it’s the same gorgeous vibe.

Wait, this is a duology?!!!! Why was I not informed? No way the book can end on such a massive cliffhanger. I wouldn’t even call it that such since the story just abruptly stops. Yes, STOPS, as in it feels unfinished.
For all those who have this book in your TBR, it’s worth it. It’s a mix of mob/conspiracy thriller with a lot more supernatural elements mixed in the later acts. It’s over the top, gorey, fast-paced even with the heavy handed exposition in some of the character’s POVs. The last two hours of my read, I could not let go of the book.

All of the wonderful posts are making me want to go back for a re-read. I think I only gave it 2 stars the first time around. I listened to the audio book and I know that can play into my enjoyment of the book. Also read another book by this author and loved it. Thanks folks. I'll have to pick it up soon.

I am still debating if I should dnf this. I knew it was cozy and that's actually not the problem... I just can't stand the writing style.
