I was wondering if any of y'all know about other library cards that aren't region locked to your local library district? I was so excited when I found the Queer Liberation Library last year because they gave me a second library card I could use to get more books on Libby. I constantly need more books and my 5 hold slots are simply not enough.

I don’t know about this one. It might be a DNF for me. How long should I give it before I decide?

This was an instant add to my TBR, and Im glad I read it. Its funny, bloody and entertaining. But was balanced by the sadness and frustration I felt about Camille.
If I ever hear sclera again it will be far too soon.
After having to escape a life somewhat similar to hers, I too am trying to raise a feral girl who makes her own path in life.

When I’m fully tapped out on reading 📚 but then hop on this app and read about reading for an hour 😭📱 I don’t know the science behind the phenomenon.

Just curious, but how many of you all partake in the readalongs? If you're someone who does, do you only partake in the one that you have the books of, or do you go out & purchase the books? What about it draws you to do it, also? Is it reading with a group, trying new books, reading a themed set of books, etc?
They always interest me, but I never have the books, & my TBR list is already FAR too long. Or, as of lately, the books haven't interested me. So, going out & purchasing the books isn't something I'm willing to do. I'm of the mindset of being anti-consuming, meaning that I do not aimlessly buy up books. That is the goal at least; no book is safe from me at a used bookstore, though.
I look forward to reading your guys' insights! xoxox

some late night thoughts i had last night. what is your favorite book to movie/tv show adaptation and what is one book/series that you think would make a great adaptation(s)? i’ll start: my favorite movie adaptation is divergent (just the first one), and i think that caraval would be killer movies if done right

Another week begins, and somehow the TBR pile has grown again. Truly shocking. No one could’ve predicted this.
It’s like time skips from Sunday evening to Monday morning, and suddenly you’re negotiating with yourself about reading “just one more chapter” ... for several hours straight.
Let’s be real. This isn’t about staying organized anymore. Your TBR has become part of your personality.
✨ What are you currently reading? 📖 What’s up next (whether planned or not)? 🔥 And be honest: how many books made their way into your life this weekend with zero resistance?
Share your current reads, unexpected hauls, or the book currently living rent-free in your head. Let’s kick off the week a little chaotic and very well-read! 📚

For me, it's the Shadow and Bone trilogy. I tried to read the first book, and i had to put it down after chapter 2.

"The truth of the matter was, I wasn't like the others. I knew this from an early age."
I'm sorry but how many times does she have to mention that she's not like everyone else? She's such a "I'm not like other housewives" kind of protagonist. I think this is pretty common in thrillers as well when they have women protagonists I've found. It's a very curious (slightly annoying) thing 🤔
