”Go the rust away!”
”…he lets her right the rust in.”
😬 fake swearing is such a pet peeve of mine in fantasy - it basically always sounds super lame and forced like there’s something vaguely KidzBop about it. “Fuck” would have so much more real world impact, especially since the word “fuck” actually does exist in this world, and is used right after this in the same conversation by the same character!

Guys, idk if it’s a reading slump or what, but I’m really not feeling this one 😭 does it get better in the last half?

I'd love to see some more queer and/or contemporary gothic lit added to this quest - I found this list* of allegedly Sapphic-gothic books, some of which I recognize as more recent/popular, and maybe some would fit here? I couldn't find a similar list for Achillean-gothic books unfortunately but I'm sure they're out there.

Idea: add a dedicated tab/other area on the member profile where we can easily access all of our own/other members' reviews
Currently we can find links to reviews by scrolling through library shelves, but if a person does not always write reviews, it means a lot of sifting through potentially a lot of irrelevant material if you just want to read their reviews, especially considering older reviews that are not generating activity updates. I feel like the shelves provide a more comprehensive overview of a person's reading activity and a reviews section would be like a deep dive on a specific part of that data.
I do like the feature on individual book pages that shows who's read it and functions like breadcrumbs leading to reviews, but that feels like it serves a very different, reverse-engineered purpose.

“Pompeii,” Bebe said, still not breaking eye contact. “I love a good disaster, myself.”
STOOOPPPPP. Even I feel flustered.
