I love asking this question as a party trick. Imagine the 🌋apocalypse🌋 has befallen us and all the Boundlings are living in a commune together. What skills, talents, and tomfoolery are you offering to the collective?
Are you: 🤔 a healer collecting herbs and making medicine for our booboos? 🤔 an archivist hoarding ephemera of our fallen civilization (“kids…this is an iPhone 17…”)? 🤔 the grumpy person who always votes no at the town halls?
I’m most definitely the community jester. Ring a bell and I’ll come running with levity, giggles, and something stupid to say. 🤡

This book is awesome. I haven't had thus fun reading a book in a while, man. I am not a big science-guy but this book is bringing it out of me. The amount of space videos I have consuming recently is certainly and amount. You can really tell that Andy Weir is passionate about this stuff. It carries over to Dr. Grace and to the reader. You get exited because Grace is exited. Also, the book is genuinley funny. Laughed out loud a couple times. A book I can't wait to reread.

How do y'all determine whether a book goes into your tbr category versus your interested category? (looking for ideas for how to organize my pb library) :3

So far finding this book very hard to get into, which is a shame. Not fully sure why that is, perhaps the absence of a clear main character so far. Hopefully I'll get more into it soon.

just thought of asking this a few minutes ago, as it feels like i see a ton of people around here who love Hozier and Florence + the Machine, and i wanna see if there are any correlations between peoples favorite genre of books and favorite genre of music/favorite artists! for me, favorite genre is nonfiction, and my music tastes tend to lean towards rock, punk, and metal🙂↕️

I loved the movie but imo Ryland seems a lot... "stupider" in the movie than he does in the book. Obviously that's a side effect from not being able to follow his internal monologue and reasoning, but I feel like even considering that, they made him seem so much more incompetent. It made sense in the movie, like it wasn't a diminishing factor, but it made me a little upset 😂 like no, he's not that bad 😂
