I loved the movie but imo Ryland seems a lot... "stupider" in the movie than he does in the book. Obviously that's a side effect from not being able to follow his internal monologue and reasoning, but I feel like even considering that, they made him seem so much more incompetent. It made sense in the movie, like it wasn't a diminishing factor, but it made me a little upset 😂 like no, he's not that bad 😂

I'm totally going in without any context. This book was recommended by the folks at The Bookclub Podcast. Let's see where it takes me.

Im not usually a massive fan of books that are turned into tv shows/movies but has anyone got a book that they actually want to be turned into one? Im currently reading Thats not my name and I feel like it would be so good as a series if it was done right!

I would absolutely love to hear one (or more) of your qualitative reading goals for the year ✨ This would be outside of the total number of books or hitting percentages. Do you have authors to check out, new reading spots to find, genres to deep dive into?

AHHHHH
I will write an actual thoughtful review eventually, but for now: AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE
While the audiobook was enjoyable for sure, I have already ordered the physical book because MAN is this a book I wanna annotate (as well as taking a second look at the science, a lot of it went over my head). Ah, the freedom of adult(ish) money.
I haven't been that invested in a book in a WHILE. And my interest in space has gotten a renewed spark. Man, I can't believe I actually want to learn math now. All thanks to Andy Weir. You bastard.
