This was such a fun and meaningful adventure. The art is stunning. ✨️ The messages are so important and the representation was refreshing to see. I loved seeing elements of the Arab heritage in so many parts of the story. It tackles colonization, propaganda, identity, and imperialism and so much more. It would have been great if it was longer and went into more depth. I do wish we get a sequel. 💯 would recommend.

WOW. Don't hate me, but I hated this.
I don't mean to yuck anyone's yum, and I can see the appeal of viewing this like a day time soap opera, but truly - I found nothing about this novel to be worth while. The characters are all insufferable and that insufferableness doesn't serve a purpose. The constant violence and abuse is so normalized it also fails to make a commentary. No greater message is delivered, no shining beauty is outlined in the midst of the suffering, nor is there any meaningful hope to be found. Nor is the "love" love; it is toxic and possessive and poisonous and often wildly inappropriate.
I do truly understand that sometimes life just sucks, and there are an abundance of people who only live in misery begot by misery begot by misery. I want more from my books, though. I want a clarion call, a seed to nurture, anything to make wading through a litany of melancholy to be worth it. Emily Bronte offers us no such thing in Wuthering Heights and I (respectfully) genuinely do not understand why so many people love this or why it's an enduring classic. 😭

Firstly i think the 2026 one is bugged as it says that 2025 has already happened, and that 2026 is up next…
Secondly, i plan on reading Emily Wilde! i’ve been meaning to for ages and now i finally have a reason. but if it remains bugged, and 2026 is up next then im not sure what ill pick as nothing seems too interesting. maybe A Wizards guide to Defensive Baking?
eta; yes i know many people have pointed out that its not a bug, but i found it very confusing 😅. i probably wont participate this year as theres just other things id rather read on my very long tbr (mine is physical, so if it doesn’t fit on my shelf then im not allowing myself to buy a copy to put it there). if they spanned more genres or had more options that would’ve been great, but i also sometimes like how concise they all are and limiting your choices
for me: i don’t read classics- they’ve never agreed with me. i like romance in moderation and im already planning on reading two in december, i don’t read adult fiction, and the last pick sounds okay, but not something id jump on.
i’ll ready emily wilde next year or in spring, but i love that everyone is excited for this winter!

I noticed I don't see the "browse by emoji" feature in the android app - just want to check if it hasn't been released there or if something weird is going on just for me. Have browsed FAQ and searched in Pagebound club forum and haven't seen this come up
& Additionally, is it right that the search only allows you to use one emoji? I was hoping to combine some
