If Jason plays video games, why doesn’t he grasp video game logic? Find water well = boss battle. Simple?

Lots of graphic novels handle tough subjects. This one is different in the most spectacular way. I felt seen on a guttural level, making me have to read the first half of the book in smaller chunks. I wish this kind of literature was available when I was a kid, I can’t imagine how different I would have felt. If you read one graphic novel this year, make it this one.

Asian fem. lit. is alive and thriving! For fans of The Convenience Store Woman, Earthlings, and I Who Have Never Known Man, this book is a testament to the experience of the modern woman. Hauntingly beautiful and shockingly accurate, I know this story will transcend time. It will be read by future generations as a cautionary tale and reminder of all that we have endured in this world as women. I hope that one day, young people will read this book as part of their formative education - not only to educate them on their innate power, but warn against the very real dangers of misogyny, racism, colonialism, and capitalism.

This was fun but just didn’t quite scratch the itch I needed🫠

This was super cozy and heartwarming! I feel like it would be perfect in audiobook form.
