chaos, folded corners & cracked spines

okay judgement free zone right…? I crack spines, fold corners, and throw books in my bag like they belong there. Bookmarks? Page folds. Dust jackets? Optional. I read with the book folded in half. No spine is safe with me. Imo my books are meant to be loved, not preserved.

Shoutout to fellow chaotic readers… and props to those who keep their books immaculate. I genuinely don’t know how you read a book and keep it pristine, not even a crack in the spine. I see you, I admire you, but I’ll never be you.

Any other Type B readers out there, living that gloriously messy, well-loved book life? 🩵😈

Absolutely insufferable characters (Thoughts from 16% (page 60))

Does this book get better? Right now I’m having a hard time reading about these insufferable characters (I’m going to count the number of times they say “hardbody”). To top it off, Bateman describing every designer item is turning it into a snooze fest, I am unable to picture most of them anyway. I realise this is all intentional but do the item lists in the chapters ever get smaller? I want to know if I should just suck it up and stick with it.

I was really curious what you guys put on your TBR list on here, as in do you only put books from your physical TBR (aka books you own but haven‘t read yet) or also in general all the books you want to read even if you don‘t have them yet. Because on my old goodreads account I added any book that sounded interesting, except it got out of hand and I ended up having a TBR of over 600 books 🙈😂. Which is exactly why I DIDN‘T transfer my goodreads data on here to kinda have a fresh start and my TBR here on Pagebound is only books I actually own — and my physical TBR is already a whooping 130-something sooo yeahhhh. Oopsie tee hee 🙈🎀✨ But then I get sooo frustrated when I see a book that I REALLY want to read in the future but don‘t own yet and so I don‘t put it on my TBR to not mess up my system. Right now my solution is that I have a googledocs document where I just write the titles of books suggestions ✨for the future✨. But so yeah i was curious how y‘all do it?☺️
