This book is a lot more smut than I was expecting 😂 After the sex club scene, I thought, "I didn't realize this was supposed to be smutty wlw dark-romance esque."

I'm hoping that the magic system, world building, and politics start to make more sense soon. The plot action seems to frequently be interrupted by sex, or even random gotcha sex dreams? It also feels weird to me how often, and how explicitly the sister talk/tease each other about fugging.

I'm also wondering if the narration time between the MCs is going to even out. It might be more obvious to me that the perspectives aren't balanced since I'm listening to the audiobook, which has duet narration.

i'm really proud of myself so far!! i was hoping to get through 24 books this year, and i'm already at 18 and counting!! i also made it a goal of mine to read an entire trilogy, and i've almost done that too :))
