I was so BORED DNF @30%
For a book about monster fucking there was an abundant lack of monsterfucking. 😠 Does he even use those two dicks at once?
Rain. commented on brinipor's review of Bridge to Terabithia
I picked this up because a review of The Wicker King said that it was just a poorly written Bridge to Terabithia. I decided to form an opinion before I got mad, and I can confidentally say they were wrong and I am mad.
Other than that, this was a cute but sad story. Watching Leslie and Jess become best friends and create a little world together was really sweet to watch. I think it would have been a better experience for me overall if people didn't tell me beforehand how sad it was, but alas, it couldn't be helped.

Hello!
Tell me something that's made you smile recently.
I'm hoping that by reading lots of people's examples I will absorb the positivity into my own life at the moment!
It might be: A piece of good news A silly joke A fun card in a shop window A little win A day of sunshine...
Please share away :) Thanks, I can't wait to read them and get some secondary cheer!

Some days I wake up and find myself thinking about… Him…

So I thought I’d make a little bug type team based purely on how cute I personally find them. Literally no strategy went into this because I’m only a casual fan of Pokémon 😅
Image created using 🔗PikaTeams
Please tell me your favorite minibeast-inspired Pokémon!
And as a reminder, voting for the unofficial minibeast summer readalong ends on April 30th, so if you haven’t gotten the chance to vote yet, you can do so 🔗here. (I’m not going to lie ya’ll, I think we have a very clear winner, but just in case!)

Dnf @ 42%
While I was interested in the story and romance, it was long winded. There was a lot of internal dialogue that may have been better shown through plot/dialogue. Also the incessant need to talk about the "tiny" and "small" fmc was annoying. There is nothing wrong with smaller frames or that being represented in romance. But that's not what the author was referring to. It was more infantilzing than anything. The love interest even called her "baby bird" which also gave me the ick.
