Currently facing the daily problem of wanting to read instead of workđ so I am here to commiserate and ask how many books do you all check out of the library at a time? If I have more than 6 I tend to get overwhelmed. Because Iâm a mood reader, some of them end up sitting around for awhile while I return and check out new onesđ

Hello!
As I've been waiting for my Royal Assassin hold to come in at the library, I've also been getting JesterxKnight or JesterxKing content on my timeline. It's making me want to read something where the fool or jester has a strong role in a fantasy book. Think the Fool in the Farseer Trilogy. I'm (slowly) making my way through Robin Hobb's work, so I'm sure I'll get more Fool content eventually. The dynamic doesn't need to be romantic, I just like the idea of seeing a silly guy getting away with manipulating everything because people only think they're a silly guy and nothing more. Any recommendations are appreciated!

I think, like most readers, I prefer reading the book/series that inspires a movie or tv show. Usually I prefer reading the book before seeing a movie if the plot seems interesting! Often, if I find out a movie/tv show is inspired by/based on a book, it makes me want to read the book even more! This is especially true if the show/movie is dissatisfying or a trainwreck (final season of Game of Thrones anyone?)
However. There are some exceptions to this rule. Stephen King, for example. Loveeee Stand by Me, and I read the book it was based on. Loved The Shining, etc etc. But I realized after reading some of his books that I really don't need to read his stuff đ i enjoy the adaptations!! Another example is Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal. I loved both the movie and tv show, and I don't think I really care to read the series?
Anyone relate? Thoughts? đș
