Hey guys, I was wondering how other readers go about reading series. Me, personally, I read series in one go because I can‘t stand the suspense at the end of book two when there‘s a cliffhanger and book three isn‘t out until next year. And then, when book three is finally out, I have forgotten most of the major plot points or am too distracted by others books to even pick it up. So, I wait for the entire series to be out, buy all of them and keep going. However, I feel like I sometimes miss out on the hype (e.g. Fourth Wing) and for some series I‘m interested in, the author takes years and years to keep writing (e.g. Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss), but I would really like to start reading. So how do you go about reading series? And for those of you that read them piece by piece, what are your tips not to forget all about unfinished series?

I just found out that Little Women and Good Wives are one book. I was wondering why it was taking so long for the time skip, but it just so happens that most of the romance is in part 2. After the tough start, I started to enjoy the familial cosiness so I’m not too bothered.

i was wondering how do you guys feel about the condition of library books and the idea of dog-earing them? i have checked out tons of books from the library that have previously dog-eared pages (although it is not usually that visible unless you're looking for it) and since i hate figuring out where to put my bookmarks while reading books i usually dog-ear my own books. i think that i find it to be a grey area because you're technically not ruining the book or putting permanent damage on them, just like you would by writing in them of tearing the pages. when i was a child i would dog-ear page regularly, with making sure i straightened them out the best i could after i moved on to another page. thoughts?

Does anyone else create reading goals that are simply unattainable?
Last year my goal was 20, and I only managed to read 15. I was so disappointed with myself that I decided I would make my goal this year 50. Except, after giving it real thought I realised that I only felt inadequate after hearing how much other people have read. The real reason behind this post is actually because I’m procrastinating but I’d just like to set a reminder to myself and those who need it. Comparison truly is the thief of joy.

I tend to struggle with classics and this one isn't any different. I'm making good process but its slow pace bores me. Hopefully, I don't dnf.
