I can’t believe I’m giving an alternating second person narration book four stars but here we are.
Thematically rich and emotionally resonant. Every story needs a good villain and the everlasting delivers a fantastic one.
I found the plot to be extremely well planned but sometimes meandering. I appreciated the book more than I enjoyed it.

hello PB, i am interested in learning more about the Great Famine (aka the Irish Potato Famine) and i am hoping for some non-fiction recommendations if you got any! i am planning a brief personal curriculum, beginning with Jonathon Swift's "A Modest Proposal," so i would prefer books that focus on the political and economic context of the famine rather than the agricultural aspects per say. thanks!
