An addictive story of publishing, character, and overall good time.
I loved the metaphors, the character themselves were interesting even if they were awful. Without giving too much away, despite having a vague sense of whodunnit, the why was just as satisfying to wait for.

I love a classic mystery of bringing strangers together in an old, spooky mansion.

A fun YA read that I would have absolutely devoured in high school. It’s packed full of snark, pop culture references that remind me so much of Buffy the vampire slayer mixed with some vampire diaries/vampire academy. The middle of the book slows down pacing wise to me because the author starts throwing a lot of ideas into the plot pot. Some pieces worked out well, others not so much. Other than our main character and secondary POV, all the other characters are pretty bland and don’t have any outstanding characteristics.
Those are the flaws but it was a fun read, and I stand by younger me would have obsessed. Adult me had fun.
