Thanks to @broenyn, I found out that we are being graced with a new Madeline Miller short story this year, Mestra, and from @Afterdark's note, Persephone is still happening.
I was wondering what upcoming Greek Myth Re(Tellings) are you excited for that is coming out this year? I'm looking forward to Sweetbitter Song from Rosie Hewlett as I thought their version of Medea was fantastic. Another will be Styx - The River by Nikita Gill as it is one of the stories I'm less familiar with and their Hekate was a fun and fast read.

The concept was promising, but I really don‘t like the way it was executed. The first chapters felt like an attempt at a "weird girl horror" version of Gossip Girl, aiming for edgy and cool but landing somewhere between cringe and nonsensical. For example, the supermodel eldest sister’s designer label and their perfume that smells of rot and whatnot yet sells like crazy because people are THAT obsessed with her. Yeah, I’m too old for this. The author's writing style felt exhaustive to me with endless repetitive descriptions, contradictions, plot holes, and romanticization of very problematic themes. If you cover themes that could potentially bring up trauma in your readers, you should at least do some research on how to cover them in a respectful way. Binge eating without gaining weight, the sisters SA'ing people to put them under their spell, but it‘s ok, because they are hot and feminist icons, a minor kissing an adult, the sister’s borderline incestuous obsession with each other, grief… The writing felt hollow (pun intended) and ignorant without any depth or substance.
