I can appreciate a nice platonic friendship but come on, you’re lying if you don’t think my boy Sam is crushing on Frodo a little bit 😭 (call me delusional)

    Enjoyment: 2.5Quality: 4.0Characters: 3.0Plot: 3.0

A middle aged woman that has some issues with her aging and a husband in a sticky situation. Woman develops obsession with younger man, which exacerbates her own issues with her age. Throw a self-centred daughter in the mix. Plot going ways you don’t expect. Lots of unfamiliar words to look up. Absolutely unhinged behaviour. Another unexpected turn at the end. Well written in the literary sense, but ultimately annoying, strongly disliked the characters.
