This book literally saved me from a reading slump and dragged me back to the surface from a depressive episode... and I couldn't be more thankful and excited about it!!!! Vincent and Matilda are EVERYTHING

Iâm reading this on audiobook and itâs been an⊠interesting experience. The VA is clearly super talented with numerous voices and theyâve made it pretty immersive in the post-production, but I haaaaaaate the voice he chose for the MMC. Itâs this weird cross of Johnny Bravo (I know weird throwback but trust me) and Krunk from the Emperorâs New Groove, 25% southern, and 100% mega-douche. Iâm trying to look past it but sometimes it really pisses me off. I just donât think it fits the character.

I donât know why I resist Emily Henry as much as I do, because whenever I do cave and read one of her books, I have a fantastic time. I couldnât wait to keep reading and the tension between her and Miles was đ€đ». Some of the turmoil fell a little flat for me, like Henry was trying to convince me that âno this character really is that tortured and fucked up, I swear.â But honestly this is a fun and funny modern romance novel that definitely has re-readability!
