literally do not have the right words to explain how much i loved this duology. this sequel was amazing, even if I was a little slow getting into it compared to the first book. once it clicked, it completely swept me away, especially in those last few chapters??? actually made me feel unwell.

hauth remains the absolute worst human ever, and every scene with him actually had me grinding my teeth. elm and ione were such top-tier additions, they brought so much depth and fresh energy to the story. and ofc our lovely ravyn and elspeth finally getting the time together they deserved. taxus was such a complicated and unique character, and his ending was so bittersweet. giving this anything less than five stars would genuinely be such an injustice.

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS BOOK. obsessed! literally from the first few pages i was immediately hooked. the writing is amazing, the word building and just the overall premise for the providence was so easy to get invested in. i could not put this book down. and a sprinkle of romance in fantasy? ugh tell me more. i simply can’t do anything but read the next book bc that ending was insane.
