The saddest part of this book is each and every atrocity of this dystopia has happened to a real woman in the real world. Being a woman in the world means that by luck of the draw you can be born in a place where you have no right to learn, to live as an individual, to show your face, to speak in a public place and so much more. Being a woman means at a flip of a hat your world can become one of the handmaid's tale.
this is why feminism cannot die
