Truthfully, this book does not have to be this long. There are paragraphs upon paragraphs, scenes within scenes, where nothing happens that could have been CUT & everything would have been fine. That being said, it’s wild that we’re 400+ pages deep meeting new, significant characters. Despite desperately needing a trim, the majority of the unlikeable character have become likable! There are, like, 3 plot lines, but theyre decently interesting. J. M. Miro must love history, because we sip back so much I’ve gotten confused abt what is present & what is past sometimes

One of my goals this year is to read a bit of fantasy. What would you recommend as a beginner read for this genre? I'm typically a romance and thriller person, but looking to expand!

Hi everyone, I just joined and I'm so excited about being part of a community that loves reading just as much as me! Anyways I wanted to ask if anyone has any recommendations for Arab/north African inspired romance books and also any mystery books with a romance subplot; I already read all Holly Jackson books, I have the Natural series but I'm waiting to read it this summer since I'm quite busy these days, and I also already read "Nothing more to tell".
Also I would love to make some friends and talk more about books, especially if we have similar interests 😊

I know it's pretty specific 😅 My 10yr daughter is very advanced in English so her teacher allows her to read a book during her English class (they're learning very basic stuff).
So I'm looking for recs of books for children or preteen, not too hard to read for a non-native English speaker, but not too childish either?
If that helps, she loves stories with animals or mischievous kids 😆 Maybe with a bit of fantasy? And she looooves everything Star Wars related! 🚀
Thanks!

I know I told my friend I wouldn't get a new book until I get through my tbr or my Kobo, but does anyone have good mental health or disability rep books? I've read Peyton Corrine books and Out On A Limb
I know I'll never find one with any of my disabilities .
