  • Strange Thoughts about the Implications of Legacies

So legacies exist, Octavian is an example of this. Meaning, demigods can have children; they are fertile. Ergo gods and humans are the same species. This isn't surprising; humans can become gods, eg. Ganymede. But it does leave to some weird concepts if you think about them. Because, continuing up the tree, gods are the same species as titans which are the same species as the primordials. Therefore primordials and humans are the same species. Gaia and Ouranos are the same species as all the main characters, and literally every person. Meaning everyone is walking around on top of one giant person, that they could (biologically if not physically, like with dog breeds) successfully procreate with (and create fertile offspring). That is so strange. Why are they the same species? Annabeth, when holding the sky, is holding up Ouranos. That's just one giant guy - of the same species!

I'm sorry, it's late and I'm very tired - but I was just thinking about how strange this is. I really feel like it would be less weird if demigods just weren't fertile. (I have also decided to ignore all magic explanations in the books, like the gods not having DNA, because that is 1.) less fun, and 2.) it doesn't really make sense either - because then all demigods would just be clones of their human parent.) I'm not entirely sure what the point of this post is - fun? screaming my odd thoughts into the void? Regardless, it is here. I would also love to hear any opinions on this concept - or any strange thoughts you've had about this series.

So I startet reading the Heroes of Olympus Series around the end of 2024 and I loooved it so much, I fell in love with the characters, the writing, everything. I startet reading this book in january of 2025 and couldn't put it down but as the ending came closer, I got so scared of any of these characters that I grew so attached to dying that I just couldn't bring myself to read it, I also didn't want it to end and ifact I put this book away for over a year. I don't quite know why but somehow I finaly found the courage to read the last 150 pages just now and suprise suprise I had so much fun. It still feels surreal that it's over.

This series was an emotional rollercoster and it's safe to say I loved this everything about it, this world and especially these characters, who from now on will have a special place in my heart.

Coming out and saying it... Kiela is definitely autistic. She is looking MIGHTY familiar.

I've been listening while driving home and I have to say I am enjoying this book so damn much!

Kiela is a loveable awkward bean and Larran. Nothing appropriate to say about Larran.

Also, this book reminds me of Vespertine, too. Giving Margaret Rogerson in the best way possible!
