Definitely a highlight of the year! I immediately took every protagonist of this book to my heart. They are wonderful, courageous and intelligent. And I think it's very fitting that they are teenagers. Otherwise, some stupidities and funny sayings simply wouldn't have fit into the situation. All in all, a great exciting fantasy novel with perfect romantic subplot.

Last autumn I read Don't let the forest in for the fall badge. I really really liked it and want to get more into the botanical horror. But you have to know I am usually not a horror reader. This book was my first and only horror book. I am an easily scared girl and will never watch any horror movie. Based on this 😅 could you recommend me some books to start with? Don't let the forest in was not too scary, btw
