Enjoying this easy read so far. The gingerbread sidekick is the very cute and Bob is hilarious. Anyone who has a sourdough starter can relate to his antics đ looking forward to getting home from work and finishing it up.

I didn't enjoy it at all. Pacing was slow and it was very predictable. Not for me !

i usually put books in my TBR without knowing anything about it. some times they suck, some times theyâre Amazing, and some times they just need a bit of patience. But i have the longest TBR in existence so i tend to only give my books around 50 pages before deciding if iâm dropping it or not. How long do you people stick with a not so great book?

Like sarahw reviews here, the way this is presented so far is a bit confusing. I understand how each memoir / reflection is centered around a piece of food or dish but they don't seem to flow in a coherent narrative or timeline from dish to dish. They are quite distinct vignettes. I do wish there was some way these could have been catalogued or organised by content. I wonder if its partly because I don't feel connected to this Author yet though - maybe as I come to understand them more through these reflections, it becomes less jarring moving from scene to scene.
