The writing is kinda hard for me to understand since english isnt my first language but i feel like nothing has happened in the first 3 chapters

First - what even was that ending LMAOOOO I stopped taking it seriously early on and that def helped me consume the rest of the novel in a more positive light. I think the writing got less cringey as the novel went on, the characters don’t become more likeable and their romance is still odd? Like their dynamic doesn’t match the stereotypes she’s trying to work in. HOWEVER !!!! The plot was exactly what I wanted. Something constantly ending where I could’ve never guessed even if I saw the pieces happening before they did. It is a similar read to those who like twilight but were too young to read/like the books. Would recommend for those not needing a deeply serious novel!

me and my partner have watched all the hunger games movies before. I've read this book as the movie is about to come out.
I was wondering if you think it would be better to rewatch them before the new movie comes out to remember or to watch them after, to experience them again with new context.
I reread the books after the SOTR one and it was painful but I enjoyed them a lot.
What do you think?

The writing is already giving me the ick - it’s incredibly juvenile, even for YA. Also I personally hate the “dead parents, new place” trope - is it just me? I’m pushing through because I’m hoping the plot will save the story but WHEW am I disappointed so far after hearing SM good things :(
