I also noticed that my neighbours lets off fireworks at completely random times and days even though I thought they were only allowed for private occasions on new years? My dog is really scared of them so when we got him we completely stopped with letting off fireworks and decided to just watch the other ones because there are still enough. I do really enjoy the beauty of fireworks but I agree they should be banned for the public.

A Rentner would watch the party, already dressed in his pyjamas, from the window and wait for 10 p.m. to come (on the dot) to immediately call the police 🙂↕️

When I first read about the parties, I got so annoyed thinking about how Gatsby’s neighbours must feel with all the noise 🥲 that’s the origin of it.
