So I've just started listening to audiobooks and tbh I was just making an exception for ONE book. Except now it's become a part of my routine and I look forward to listening to it. Now, this brings me to the title of this post: Welcome to Nightvale. Anyone remember it?! It was the first "podcast" i was ever exposed to and i was an avid listener for a few years, found a bunch of cool songs, and it always put me to sleep (in the best way). So it kind of reminds me of the same feeling I have now that i've discovered audiobooks.
I have three questions related to this topic... was anyone else a fan? And, has anyone found any books that captures the whimsical (sometimes dark) absurdity that was Welcome to Nightvale? Third question.... I know we have epistolary novels... but what about a novels written as radio broadcasts? That would be kind of cool. Right? Maybe? Any books like that in existence?

Hello boundlings !! I know this book is going to be getting more traction with it being an upcoming Pride 2026 Special Event selection and wanted to share how accessible it is via Libby (based on my experience as a United States user).
I have a Libby library card through the Queer Liberation Library and wanted to make it known that they have unlimited copies of this audiobook π₯³ I will note there is a several months hold wait time on the eBook copies unfortunately at the time of posting.
The QLL is a free library card to anyone with a United States mailing address and is an amazing resource for connecting readers with a historical and modern catalogue of LGBTQ+ texts, audiobooks, magazines, etc. They have quite a few others audiobooks and eBooks with unlimited copies (often depending on publishers/authors) but occasionally have longer wait times due to not being a state/county/area specific library.
I'm not sharing this info as to promote/sponsor anything, just wanted fellow boundlings to know about this awesome free resource! Happy Pride PB π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ

A Braid in Space
Heavily influenced by the picture of Christina Koch's braid floating zero-g as she smiled at the moon (2026, during the Atremis II mission). Nonfic on space from perspectives outside of white men! Space exploration, astronauts, astronomy, and the history in between it all!

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best way to tandem read? Like when is the best time to switch chapters?
