I’ve only read the first two chapters so far but I’m not connecting to the writing at all. It feels too distant to me. I’ve heard great things about this series so I’ll try to push through, but might not be for me

Had a sudden thought while reading Cinder preparing to run away. Adri scanned Iko’s memory chip right? So she knows about the car and Cinder’s plans to run? Not sure if I’m remembering right… but getting bad vibes from it.

My theory is that the mutants are shells taken by Levana. Makes more sense that the participants would be unwilling, and that this was hidden from the remaining Lunars.

I read up to 40% of the book before I gave up and put it down. The idea and the first few chapters seemed interesting to me, but it got really pretentious really fast. Characters can be morally grey but still likeable, but these characters were so ANNOYING. The flow was weird, with alot of telling and not showing (they randomly created a black hole and brushed over it?), and I also thought the action's flow was weird. Overall gave it a 2.5 because I really did not enjoy it.
