When the cat meowed (I'm listening to the book so I'm not sure how they spell the cat's name) it was apparently a convincing meow because both of my cats are currently looking for the cat. 😂

Pterodactylus and Cycnorhamphus are part of the sleek new look, the future of pterosaur lineages. With very short tails, long wrists and often flamboyant crests, pterodactyloids are the avant garde.
This is actually so funny? Jurassic species as avant garde…i need one of those cunty fashion commentators/content creators i follow on youtube to do a reel about dinosaurs. they’re all, “ooOOO liquid organza this is CLASSIC armani privè, watch the MOVEMENT” and “robert wun has me GAGGED, look at THAT. the fabric is stunning but the hat just SELLS IT” and “miss soheeeeeee, my favorite! and only 29 years old? look at the reverse peplum, it’s got such a fascinating insect carapace shape, nobody else is DOING IT like she is”
where’s the collab with Halliday? I want them to say things like “you know what? that crest slays. i like the frills on there, watch the COLORS, very modern tropical bird, very loud but tasteful. and you know, the asteroid gets a lot of credit for changing up trends that one time but look at THAT they’re so sleek, i’m digging it. the pterodactyloids really ate with this one”

I read a comment on a post here on Pagebound today that made me think. It stated that the person does not read in their native language.
It made me think about myself, I have long preferred to read in English, actively avoiding books written in my native language swedish. I have recently made more of an effort to read swedish literature and I have found some great satisfaction in it, as well as improving my vocabulary and insight into Swedish history and culture.
Here I find a lot of people finding Swedish literature "cringe" (literally often said in English and not with a Swedish equivalent). I have reflected on how reading in Swedish seems more sincere and serious, and why do we feel so embarrassed or turned off by being sincere? How do you feel about reading in your native language? What do you think attitudes are in your country and your communities? Why do you think they are the way they are?
In general Swedish society has become more and more Americanised over the last few decades, has this led to this attitude that Swedish literature and poetry is cringe and bad?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic!

I got bored and decided to add a "bookshelf" tab to my reading spreadsheet, catalogue every book I own & mark if I've read them or not.
I was absolutely not expecting the number to be so high!! I always thought I was good at reading the books I buy, but my TBR books are higher than my finished books.
I have 117 unread books 😬 It's definitely given me a kick to start focussing on reading those. But I'm curious, does anyone have more than that? Or do you stay on top of it & keep your numbers down?

If a book has a movie/show, do you read the book first or the movie/show first? And why?
This is me; Me: ”I just finished this book” Person: ”Ooh I’ve seen the movie!” Me: ”There’s a movie?”
I don’t think I’ve watched a single movie/show about a book I’ve read, ever. Except Heated Rivalry which I’m in the process of watching (I read the books first)

I was going to start another book, however I remembered I need to return this book to the library tomorrow. Wish me good luck reading these 650+ pages in less than one day🤭🫠
