So, for those of us neurosparkly enough to have a spreadsheet for quests (just a guess most of those who have them are some flavor or neurodivergent.) How do you organize them? I started one and it a sheet, in one one doc, for each quest, but I'm in a LOT of quests. I won't make a sheet for any quests I'm not at least sort of actively working on, and I've color-coded the sheets-dark green for ones I haven't gotten a badge on, a deep yellow for bronze, medium grey for silver, etc. But I'm afraid it's going to be a bit much. Should I have a different doc for each genre? Seperate ones for side vs main quests?
I'm putting in the books I'm interested in reading for each quest, so I can estimate what badge Ievel I'll get to. As well as a checkmark once it's finished plus date finished & rating. I also have a checkbox to check if I own the book in any form.
How do you organzie them so it's not just scrolling and scrolling to find the quest you want?

When I got back into reading this year, I noticed there were tons of commonly used acronyms that I had no idea what they meant, and I’ve seen other new readers have questions about them too, so I thought I’d make a compilation of acronyms and definitions!
ALC - Advanced listening copy (like ARC but for audiobooks) (thanks @redhead.rambles !)
ARC, eARC - Advance Reader Copy ; A copy of an unpublished book given to select readers to review before the publication date. A lot of people get these through Netgalley. (The “e” is for “electronic”)
BE - Bad ending (thanks @sitacchi !)
CNC - Consensual non-consent (thanks @Indie !)
CR - Currently reading
CTM - Crime, thriller, mystery (thanks @sitacchi !)
DNF - Did not finish
DNFfn - Did Not Finish (for now) (thanks @irmknitss !)
DNR - Do Not Read, books you don't want to read (thanks @Indie !)
DRC - Digital Review Copy (thanks @MaddiHunt !)
Dub-con - Dubious consent (thanks @Indie !)
GN - Graphic novel (thanks @Myth.Ink !)
HC - Hardcover (thanks @CaitlinByHerShelf !)
HE - Happy ending (thanks @sitacchi !)
HEA - Happily ever after
HFN - Happy for now (usually used to describe the ending of a book where characters are happy, but there is potential for future conflict)
JE - Juvenile early readers (thanks @Myth.Ink !)
JPB - Juvenile picture books (thanks @Myth.Ink !)
JMU - Juvenile moving up books (thanks @Myth.Ink !)
LFL - Little free library ; Designated bookcases in public areas where anyone can take a book or leave books for other people to enjoy!

Non-con - Non-consensual (thanks @Indie !)
PB - Paperback (thanks @CaitlinByHerShelf !) and also Pagebound! (thanks @KittyFeathers !)
PNR - Paranormal romance (thanks @Indie !)
RH - Reverse harem (thanks @FairyPeriapt !)
RTC - Review to come (thanks @acidicchaos !)
SF - Science fiction (thanks @Myth.Ink !)
SFF - Science fiction fantasy
TBR - To be read
TK - To come ; When speaking about book content that's in progress, like images, dedications, and more, not yet included in the book. Examples: “Review and link tk” ; In ARC books: “Dedication tk” (thanks @Myth.Ink !)
TW, CW - Trigger warning and Content warning
WC - Why Choose ; Romance between more than two people, in a polyamorous way (thanks @ctrlaltdelete !)
WIP - Work in progress
YA - Young adult ; Usually used to describe books written with a teenage audience in mind
Please let me know of other acronyms I’ve missed and I’ll add to the list!
P.S. When you use an acronym for a book title or author name outside of a relative context (like in the Pagebound club instead of a book’s forum), consider using the book/author’s full name first before the acronym so everyone will know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s easy to forget that a name acronym that is common to you, could be completely unknown to someone else. This way everyone will be able to fully follow what you’re talking about.
I hope this post is helpful for some people :3

Hi PageBound!
I enjoy watching YouTube videos about books, but lately I’m having trouble finding channels centred more around reviews and reading wrap-ups rather than internet drama. (The only book YouTuber I’ve been watching recently is Newlynova.)
Do any of you have recommendations?

I’m excited for tomorrow! It will be the first annual book faire hosted by Womb House Books in Oakland, CA. I am mostly homebound with a sitting disability but I’ll be able to walk to the event and can be accommodated if I need to rest there. Throughout the day, starting at noon, there will be publishers and authors set up in the alley. I’ll be able to come back to this post and describe my experience for you all! I’d love to hear about your local community book events. What authors were there, books discussed, bookmark swag details-share your joy!

"I think when we're kids, we just accept things. We don't think to question until later, sometimes not even then."
Ain't that the truth? I went through a period for a few years where I started questioning my religion, my upbringing, my world view...kinda just all at once. It was a dark time. But the person I became on the other side is someone I'm rather proud of.

I very unexpectedly lost my grandmother last month. She was like a mother to me and I have found that in my grief there are pockets of time that I cannot properly account for. In this month that has passed, I have only been able to complete Behind fFve Willows by June Hur. Which I am very grateful for, as it was a very comforting Pride and Prejudice inspired title.
Sunday would be my grandma's birthday and I would just like something that's whimsical and fantastical to take my mind off things a bit.
It could be a novel or a manga. I love shoujo and josei manga. Novels I have loved this year include: Never Even After by Sue Lynn Tan, and The Ellsewhere Express by Samantha Sotto Yambao. I did not enjoy The Sun and The Starmaker. I found the female lead to be insufferable. Some of my favorite ongoing manga include: A Sign Of Affection, Fall In Love, You False Angels, and Choking On Love.
In terms of my reading habits, I am someone who under normal circumstances can finish up to four or five novels in a week. As well as half a dozen manga. So the fact that I have only been able to finish one novel in all this time, and not even a single volume of manga, really speaks to how deeply I have been affected. The year my mother passed away, I read over 120 books and at least 90 volumes of manga. This was in 2023. I usually find great solace in reading.
