Omg I’m so glad they do a recap of the last book in the beginning. I wish more series did this, I’m so forgetful lol

I’m loving this so far. It reminds me of God of the Woods, but more fast paced. The family sucks so everyone’s a suspect in my mind right now.

For me, this one's a soft DNF-for now, at least.
I'm usually super patient with a slow burn, whether it's romance or plot-related. I actually love a good, slow build. But here... the pacing just feels too slow.
That said, the writing style? Gorgeous. The world-building? So immersive. And the potential this series has? Off the charts. I've really loved seeing Auren's character growth-watching her find her strength has honestly been one of my favorite parts so
far.
I'm about 40% into book three, which means I've read nearly 1,000 pages of this series-and unfortunately, not a whole lot seems to be happening. The pacing's starting to feel a bit dragged out, and instead of keeping me hooked, it's starting to wear me down a bit.
So for now, I'm setting the series aside. I do plan to come back to it when I'm in the right headspace and can appreciate it more fully. But right now? I just need a little break.

Am I the only one googling all of these Slovic terms? Luckily the same ones are used over and over.
